We have recently been confirmed as champions of EDCSSL s14 – Division 9 after beating :XTX: in the final game of the season on de_strike.

We won most of our games quite comfortably, except for the 2 draws against 2nd place NarchaD and 3rd place kokaine.

The NarchaD game was always going to be tough for us, playing them on de_inferno and losing to them only days earlier in the KGL on the same map. We managed to secure the draw with about 6-7 rounds to go, but we had lost all our momentum and NarchaD manage to secure all the remaining rounds.

The kokaine game was a similar story — we secured the draw in the second-half but could not find that winning round. Things might have been different if it was played on any other map other than de_contra — a map we can really struggle on at times.

Things might have looked different if Apathy had not folded. We lost our opening game against them before they got into difficulty, forcing the ED admins to default all their games. Still, in those circumstances we might have finished runners-up!
