With quite a few members going AWOL when we were reforming it was hard to get the ball rolling, but with the addition with Dutchy Danish The Great and Pugzy The Mute we finally got some games under way.

We started our first official match on Tuesday with flying colours all in various shades of brown. We arranged a sub to take my place and that sub — who will remain nameless* — failed to show. We were down to 4 men which resulted with TWK wiping their placcid dicks all over our faces. We lost to TWK a wopping 25-5. A rematch will be arranged and what little honour we had previously would be restored. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

With a last minute arrangement of a game on Wednesday we managed to field a full team and have subs spare! We were ready for this match winning fairly convincingly 18-12 over MrCi. Things were looking up, we had a feel good factor about the clan moving on to Thursday. Confidence was high,  ego’s were inflated, and we’re pretty sure Killersan was feeling frisky.

We had two matches arranged for Thursday and boy were we in for a shock. Due to play EoE at 8pm we were all on the server with our confidence brimming. We were pulling the shots out of the bag when we were warming up… and then the game began. It soon dawned on us that this was not going to be a walk in the park, especially when you lose the first half 14-1! However in the second half we somehow scrambled together and managed to put tighten our bumholes and put in something that resembled a credible performance, finishing the half 12-3 in our favour! Yes it was a defeat, but it was a win in our eyes! Damage limitation honed to perfection!

The next match was also a close match. Both ourselves and |drhy| played well, but LaB were the victors in the end with a 16-14 win. It appears we suck at closing out matches — we had a bright start winning the T half 8-7 yet couldn’t emulate the previous CT performance from the game before. Something to look at, maybe.

With 2 wins and 2 losses week has been a relative success. When we consider at one stage it looked like we weren’t going to be starting at all, we’re quite happy with what’s been achieved in these early days with a relatively small roster.
